| Report: | Nick E looked as if he was going to stretch the match out with a combination of great retrieval and youthful stamina but his shots were a little too loose so Alan regained the advantage. It was hard to tell whether Kevin was more frustrated by Peter's notorious accuracy or just life in general. The outcome was the same either way. I saw nothing of Brian and Zeb's match but, according to Brian, Zeb was always going to step up a gear, which he duly did. Peter and Karen had a close match, as always, some long(ish) rallies and a tight scoreline. Karen was the more inventive at the end and that proved decisive. Kelvin started out well but faded from the middle of the 1st game as Nick W began to anticipate his every move. Lots of points for Cannons, lots of tears for Bromley... |
