Report: | We looked forward to our openning fixture with great anticipation knowing Park Langley have a wealth of potential talent to bring if they choose to. Luckiley it seems the club's focus is on higher battles and Woolwich were thus allowed to open their campaign in glory.
Pat stared slowly against Les but started to find his feet and gradually wore down a valiant opponent.
Warwick,Fatboy, still jetlagged from (another) holiday, just couldn't pull it together and Erdal happily placed the ball and ran our boy ragged.Still it should of helped him lose some weight.
Gerhard, the human dynamo, was put though his paces by Keith, but again it was a steady erosion of stamina that was headed in one direction.
Ade, our newest recruit, was playing while I was marking, but has a reputation for winning with the minimum effort necessary, even if giving away points per game.
Finally, Dave played Chris, who was sporting an eyebrow injury. A fairly comfortable victory with some stern resistance in the second.
All in all, a good match in what promises to be a fairly open season.
