Report: | Mike v Warwick A commanding performance from mike who dominated the T from the start hitting a great length which was also always very low. warwick tried to counter with a great variety of shots but on the day mike was too strong.
Kevin V Dave a fantastic high speed game with very long rallys mostly on the back hand. Kevin was upset with a few of the refs decision (namely mine)when asking for a let which broke his concerntration allowing for dave to nick the first game. with kev still seething in the second Dave showed his better composure winning the second with some good text book squash, Kev managed to get himself together to win a gruelling 3rd game however Dave lifted himself to break Kevs resolve in the fourth-a great match.
Alan V Gerhard
With Alan having to retire due to injury we were robbed of a Expieriance verses youth classic as both players had used their own strenghs in the two games played-Alan will have to wait his time to try and stem his dissapointment of not finishing this game.
Rob V Toks Toks started this game with all guns blazing with a great variety of shots which gave Rob(me) plenty to think about in the first game which Toks took (no pun intended)although having to fight hard for the last few points. In the second game Rob managed to dominate the T with Toks needing to run to all corners of the court with the tables turned rob had the second.
In the 3rd Toks returned to his early form putting Rob under pressure from the start getting to 5-2 before Rob got his act together levelling to 5-5 after trying to keep the rallys going to keep the pressure on the now tiring Toks.Digging in to his reserves Tok again pulled away to lead 8-5 but it took its toll and Rob came back won the tie break and went on to beat a very tired Toks in the fourth.
