| Report: | The heat outside was nothing compared to the blistering temperatures on court this evening at Colfe's. James swiftly and methodically found Mike's weaknesses, using them to run him around the court on such a hot day. Kevin beat Andy before he had even got his pace up. Sat beat Rob in a re-match from the pavillion days. As a testimony to the immense improvement in Sat's game, he fairly comfortably beat Rob. Rak succumbed to a bout of nerves and never really found his normal excellent pace against Greg. And finally...another action man round; Bas vs Darren. There were thrills, there were spills, the ref was abused (we shook hands after) but Bas pulled it out after going two down, his impeccable resolve held him steady to win the next three on the trot despite a more vociferous (and acrobatic) darren! |
