| Report: | At 1 Kev v Ian Kev built up a nice lead 7-1 in game 1 only for Ian to get to 8-7 first however Kev wasn't to be out done winning 10-8, After that Ian made a good start to game 2 going 5-1 up before Kev started to make fewer mistakes and with some good recoveries the rest of the 2nd and 3rd games. At 2 Andy and Keith had the closest match of the evening with Andy having game points first in both the 1st and 3rd games just for Keith to come back and win them 10-8. At 3 Ron played a nicely controlled game to win the first 9-0, Ollie must have tried harder in the 2nd but still lost 7-9 and Ron finished the 3rd clinically 9-1. The youthful Brian and Terry played at 4 and although Brian sent Terry the wrong way a few times Terry somehow managed to make his boasts and drops die on a warm court to gain the advantage winning 3-0. At 5 Chris managed to out hit Gary with some crunching shots Gary valiently tried to chase these down but to no avail losing 3-0. A good evening from 2 teams who hope to meet each other in Div 2 come the Winter. |
