| Report: | A good set of games and yes it did go on late with the new scoring and quite a few of us got tangled up with the best of 3 points rule as we had several games with a 14-14 position.Not to mention the usual difficulties of players seeing a different perspective on the service cut line!Julie put up a good effort and was really getting going by the last game.I did not see Jess' game but it was obviously very tight at the end.Helen and Julie had a good game with Julie being exceptionally quick round the court and able to get to virtually all the drops on what proved to be warm night on court.Vanessa and Karen had a long well fought game with Karen just pipping it in the fifth.Claire and Vanessa W also had a long game but Vanessa's long arm just kept reaching everything.Unfortunately Rodmersham could not stop for food as it was a late night but they did stop for a drink and salivated as our food was served up.Meanwhile HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLAIRE -she also had to dash off as she was going away for her birthday early Friday morning. |
