Report: | A report worth writing if only to say that the author and catain of the home team did not realise after the match how close this had been. Only two minutes ago did it become apparent that Mr Winning had won, having been informed when I came off court that he had lost - 0-3!
Well that puts a different complexion on things. And arguably a fairer relection of the match overall. Ed K will be remembered for a marathon third game when he saved eight match balls. He won the battle but lost the war in game 5 at 4-9. Adam Young next on met that rarity - a lost game, but he went on to win the match 3-1. I have no doubt his excellent record of only one defeat all season will be maintained.
I beat Eddy G - in more senses than the obvious one as his nose will testify. He was offered the usual anaesthetic in the form of a cold beer but wisely decided that home and a cup of hot chocolate was the better option.
Olly,s match I missed but he was up against a difficult opponent who I know from previous matches moves very well and is fit to boot. Olly despite his efforts went down 1-3.
One last match to go and we can all have awell deserved rest, so in true partisan spirit cooooome oooohhhn Duulwiiidge. |
