Report: | Obviously a case of mistaken identity: Bexley thinking it was Lamb's and indeed Bromley WERE lambs - led to the slaughter. Bexley's win was by the biggest margin on record, our record anyway. Not that the Bromley team was particularly weak. There were strong efforts from Paul and Ray but the youth and racket skills of Jack and Hany won told in the end. Selina added accuracy and match experience so Ian did well to steal a game before she settled into her rhythm. Danny and Andy outplayed Dave and Gary from the start and rode any danger easily despite the fact that the Bromley boys (did I say boys?) never gave up. Viewed from the comparative safety of the kitchen the match was rather closer than the score-line indicates. I wonder if Tunbridge Wells, Bromley's opponents next week, are trembling in their squash shoes? |
