| Report: | Some very enjoyable games, especially Mark's - to come back from match ball down in the third; go 8-0 up in the fifth and then just snatch it 10-8! A welcome win for the Knole captain, too. But beware, Paul, you won't have many easier opponents this season.
A pity the evening had to be rushed, though - Waterfront turning up fashionably late at 8:15 for a 10:00 dinner date! [Ties are to commence at 7.30 pm unless otherwise agreed by the captains involved. It is imperative that as many of the team as possible arrive promptly. Three players from both teams should be present and ready to play by the agreed starting time. It should be regarded as exceptional to arrive more than 30 minutes late. If, without reasonable explanation , a team has not one member present and ready to play within 30 minutes of the agreed start time, it shall forfeit the tie.] Next time, we'll claim the points :( |
