Report: | JJ renewed rivalry with fellow captain and old crock, PM. The usual result followed (PM claimed later that he usually wins at home - computer says NO, not in the last 15 years anyway!)
Chris likewise with Ray (who has beaten him once before). Chris, the heavier, also proved the stronger after a gruelling 2nd.
There were at least five lefties on show - and four or five knee bandages. In the top match, Brian's bandage and left hand proved too impressive for Jerry, in spite of a spirited attempt at a comeback in the 3rd.
Meanwhile, Knole's Mark F was starting to get the upper hand after a bad first game against BLTC's Mark F, when, at 2-8 in the second, Bromley's Mark went down like two sacks of potatoes with a painful looking knee lock-out. He gamely (and stupidly - in the eyes of all the medical men watching) carried on. However, even tin man Fleming could not manage to lose to the hobbling hero.
Mike and Kelvin made the dead rubber good value for the spectators, with Mike turning an early 0-2 tide completely around - only to falter when he looked to have the momentum at full steam.
A good points haul for Knole in the relegation tussle. But more are needed.
