Report

Report: RoB V Malcolm- two similar players in a closely sporting game with Rob coming out on top taking advantage of the home tie.

Alan v Matt - this could have been an intriging match Expieriance against the young gun.unfortuniatly the expieriance was nursing a hang over from the night before and the young gun took advantage and went for the jugular from the off never allowing alan to get into his normal tricky lobbing game-a good win for matt in his first priory game-hopefully the return will show Alan off to his best if he has an early night before hand.

John v Ben
The first game saw John totally under pressure and outclassed by another youngster at the top of his game. John rallied well in the second game taking an early lead with the rest of the cannons team hoping that youth had peaked too early as often is the case but it seemed Ben was only in second gear and soon changed up to third leaving john's resolve well and truly broken.
There was never any doubt about the third and Ben went for the kill winning 9-0.

Richard v Chris- looking at chris during the knock up Cannons were already getting ready to taste defeat but Richard had other Ideas. This time expieriance put another young gun under pressure with Richrd playing some amazing attacking nick shots with great regularity throught the first game taking it comfertably 9-3.During the second chris showed flashes of his obvious tallent but Richards resolve and winning mentality won an exciting tie-break. The 3rd game took the same pattern as the second with some amazing shots from both players but by this time Chris was playing himself as well as an unmovable Richard.A great Performance from Richard we shall look forward to see Chris playing his own game on the return.-with a sigh of relief for the home team and a walk over in the 5th the return I am sure will be a different proposition.
