| Report: | Fitness First were too quick & stong at 1 and although Mike played well at 5, Darren managed to take the two fairly even early games and Mike was unable to grab one to take the match further. 2-0 down early things didn't look good for Parklangley's best looking and most lady pleasing team when the middle order pulled out some impressive performances.
Gerald continued his good form at 4 with a nice variety of shots and angles accounting for Terry in three. The two tight matches at 2 and 3 proved all important with Fergus edging out John in a fairly epic encounter at 2, with both players showing a excellent variety of shot making and recovery. At 2-2 the match was evenly set with the 3s to decide it. Two close games in the first and third, both going to Darren, ulimately proved decisive and with Carlos being 8-2 up in the third it was no surprise when Darren was able to push on in the fourth after coming back. Another tight, high quality match enabled PL3 to finish the night with an unexpected win and FF will be sure to be out for revenge in the return fixture.
Those that were left for the grub had an enjoyable chat and gleeful tucked into the spare meals left by the departed. Cheers |
