| Report: | Another enjoyable evening for Parklangley's most handsome and lady pleasing team with the gents from Sundridge Park. (Please note like a clown I appear to have lost my score sheets but i think the games scores are pretty close)
The 3s and 4s went on first. Gerald maintained his impressive early season form by coming 1-0 down to take the games from Billy 3-1. An engrosing games with Gerald finding a bit more in the tank towards the end of the games.
On the other court Olly beat Trev 3-0 with some excellent court speed and range of shots. Trev played well however and the match was of high quality, if the scoreline a bit one-sided.
At one all in matches the 1s and 2s went on. Although Kev (PL) battled well Kev (SP) was a little too quick and stronger towards the end of the games. Some good tight shots accounting for Kev (PL) whose early season promise of getting fit for his wedding has yet to materialise.
Next door Fergus by all accounts played very well against Justin who couldn't quite get himself going - didn't see much of it I'm afraid.
The match poised at 2-2 it was down to the number 5s to decide the outcome. In hindsite the first game appears key. At 7-7 all in the first Peter was able to claw his way over the line. Mike continued to play well throughout the match but was unable to grab a game to prolong the match.
As usual the Sundridge Park team were most welcome guest, Trev was happy his meal had not been eaten this time and the story of Fergus trying to find sleep continues for another week!
