Report: | I am able to report that the following are real places, Wee Waa, Poowong, Burrumbuttock, Suggan Buggan, Boomahnoomoonah, Waaia, Mullumbimby, Ewylamartup, Jiggalong and the supremely satisfying Tittybong. If you dont believe me google them or just study the index to a book of maps of Australia.
Australia has more things that can kill you in a very nasty way than anywhere else. But the people are cheerful, extrovert, quick-witted and unfailingly obliging; their cities are clean, safe and nearly always built on water; the food is excellent; the beer is cold and the sun nearly always shines. They even have wine that just about competes at the top end with the best of cru classe France. Life doesn't get much better than this.
Beating the auld enemy, Park Langley, comes a close second for the Men of Dulwich, proud and true, all part of a mere splat of a club in an outpost of London that is so gentile that in mid-summer even the insects knock before they enter a house. Not much more to say about the match.
We look forward to the rematch but for the moment we will savour this result and continue to make hay while the sun shines. |
