Report: | It’s all about the food … we all know that.
Making his debut in the Dulwich kitchen was Paul ‘Cordon the air blue’ Taylor, or so we thought but he had a cunning plan …
On the court, Scott kept annoying Will by dropping the ball, and not just anywhere but into the nick. This tactic proved successful not just in winning points but also hurting Will mentally and Scott ran out a winner in 4.
Matt’s 6 week sabbatical from squash left him as fresh as a daisy, but sadly that doesn’t count for much against Jason ‘25 x 20 lengths on a rest day’ Barry. Three nil to the Dulwich lad. One tie apiece.
Paul & Steph traded shots, and in terms of trading Paul was more Barclays Capital while Steph was more Northern Rock. Three nil Dulwich, two-one in the match.
Alex was back on court after an extended injury break, and displayed all his usual court-craft to nick a game off Tim, and all his usual court movement to lose three! Dulwich were home.
Andy & Chris enjoyed a tight three set battle, with former coming out on top to seal the 4-1 win.
Anyone turning up at that point may have thought Will was in the kitchen for losing, but the reality was the Paul has never managed a successful beans on toast so felt food for 10, was worth a step to far, thus employing the services of his team mate for the night (in the kitchen). Faced instead with the washing up, Paul again outsourced by purchasing paper plates (sorry IRG) and rattled off the cutlery in double quick time.
A good evening of squash, some excellent chat and the food was actually even better than Will normally rustles up (which is saying something) so we will be getting Paul to ‘cook’ every week!
