Report

Report:Another quick summary. PL at full strength for the only time this season as we welcomed London jnr back from his travels. Bexley without Ben.

Robbins v Jeal. Ted sporting his new tattoos and New Romantics hairdo kept JEJ on court for a very long time. A niggly match that Jim finally wrapped up in five having lost a 7-0 lead in the 4th.

London jnr v Harrison. Match of the night. Duane put on a sterling performance, fully exploiting Steve's lack of matches. A good game to watch with both players covering miles of court and flat out (literally in Steve's case) at the end. An impressive 3-1 win for Duane.

Culver v May. Didn't see any of this since I'd managed to get away from the graveyard court for a bit, but WB perfomed his usual "on last 3-0 demolition job" by the looks of things. Sadly that's his contribution to the season done now, as he's deserting us in our hour of need to return early to uni for an extended "Hurt Club" (don't ask). ML has only just resisted the temptation to go and join in the fun.

Lennox v Breen M. Lots of crashing drives and a million boasts saw ML somehow sneak the first despite strenuous efforts not to at the end. After this Mike seemed to go to sleep and the rest of the match was well controlled by ML, wrapping up a good 3-0 win.

Last and definitely least, London snr v Breen J. Another returnee from holiday (Jack) looking a bit out of sorts in this routine 3-0 win for the author out on the graveyard court. WB got a vote of no confidence on the one decision he had to (correctly in my totally unbiased view) make. Sympathy votes were not the order of the day.

A well contested match, and the PL streak continues. A real rarity in recent times.
