Report: | Oh What a night, great team win, when i arrived we where 2-0 down Ravi beating Eddie 3-2 & Dan going down 3-1 to Olly. But as captain i took the reins, and romped my troops home to victory.Adam was 2-1 down, and when he decided to use brain rather than brawn he won the last 2 games quite easily.
Gordon went 2-0 up and seem to be in control, but no one told Matt, who won the 3rd game and was 7-0 up in the 4th,but sadly ran out of gas the silver fox(gordon) sensed this and dealt with the situation. Match now at 2-2 all down to the last match.
Where do i start? maybe before the game on paper at least, you would think that this was a dead cert for Dulwich as Steve does not lose many matches and i think the rest of the Dulwich team who sat to watch the final match must have been rubbing their hands together,it was like David & Goliath Steve 6ft 3 and Martin 5ft 7 ,Steve had the reach and height advantage but to be honest that was about all. Martin went to work by dropping, lobbing, volling, boasting, etc but just lost the 1st.The damage had been done! Martin went to work in the 2nd just he had done in the 1st game but now he was faster, more direct & clinical, breaking Steves game apart. In the and a straight forward win by finding & exploiting Steves weaknesses, another great win for next seasons team No1.Well done lads, revenge is sweet? |
