| Report: | Due to the weather delaying players the match started slowly. However Keith and Billy were able to start on time. Keith had a very good evening controlling the game from the start Billy tried hard with his own winners but Keith was too consistent. Next up was Terry and Ben the first game was very even with Ben getting to game ball first 8-6, but Terry clawed it back and when Ben set 1 terry finished it off. From then on Terry threw in a variety of shots and took control taking the next 2 games fairly comfortably. Ian and kevin went on and Ian started strongly 9-0 but Kevin who wasn't playing at his best fought back to split the next 2 games but went 7-2 down in the 4th before fighting back again to take it 9-7. However Ian played a good 5th to win it. Ron and Oliver went on with Oliver apparently having never beaten Ron, Oliver started strongly going 7-4 up before Ron came back to take it 9-7. The next was similar with Oliver getting to game ball ahead of Ron before Ron leveled it but this time Oliver took the game after this although Ron tried hard Oliver always had the edge and won 3-1. Finally Nick and Peter in the first game Nick took the lead for Peter to overtake Nick before Nick came back to take it. But the next 2 games both went to Peter Nick looked out of sorts and wasn't playing his best. However Nick fought hard to take the 4th before showing some good squash to take the 5th. |
