| Report: | Some of the best squash i have seen all winter, tonight. A cracking match at 1 saw Steve wyatt beat undefeated martin snow 3-0 in a very tough tight match. Over on court 2 Jack breen v Nathan gilmore was as good as it gets. A terrific 5 setter with retrieving you would not believe. Jack went 2-0 up but nathan was having none of it pushing jack hard in the 3rd to win that 9-6. from then on it was a struggle for Jack with fitness and nathan just wore him down by retrieving everything Jack threw at him, Nathan winning 9-5 9-3 for a very hard fought 3-2 which took an hour to decide. Ron at 3 was too strong for Pete winning 3-0 reasonably easy. same for toby at 4 beating paul 3-0 but this was paul's 1st match since before xmas so he was well out of shape. A very good nights squash against a very nice crowd of people, hope they enjoyed my grub. |
