| Report: | With Cascades down to one court, this match was played over at Old Dunstonians thanks to the gracious organisation of PL3....Unfortunately, both teams were struggling to field a full team with absence and injury creating problems. Bob was on first and won his game easily.....no point in trying to convince you of that one - of course it was a walkover - the best bit was that he turned up for the match only to find there was no bar there!....kept me laughing on court. Mike up next fielding an injury, whilst Gerald showed no Mercy and made Mike move in as many different directions as possible....Nick on th other hand showed again that his game is improving and, with a few shaky moments, beat Mike 3-1. Stu, still on medication and not yet back to his normal self, showed a valient effort against Trevor, with flashes of his old self in a close run game.....So it was 2 each and Ash and Kev had some long rallies, with Ash thankfully winning in 3.
A well fought match with good humour and food. Thanks for your hospitality PL3. |
