| Report: | A very good evening for Biggin Hill's new look first team, first on was Streett and Nick, good tight match with youth and power against ...experience! Nick put good shots in which Streett took time to adjust, but in the end good drops and high work rate gave Streett a the win 3-2. Steve and Anthony gave the ball a good work out in the knock-up, I did'nt see much of this one but it was good to see Steve not have a problem with soon to be past injury's, shame he had a heart attack at the end of the second! tried to play on but the thought of his family and coughing up £10 forced him to try and stay on court......unlucky, retired. Anthony 3-2. Webbo and Deano played a good match with Deano playing some fantasic winners and Webbo tearing up the court like Linford Christie, tight match Deano winning 3-1. Simo and Stu had a close match, from what i could here.....Simo putting in the leg work and playing some good drops, Stu had some crafty squash and skillfull shots to see he home in 3-1, Myself and Stuart.M went on last to the cheers from the bar (Gary Hewer and Mel from Benidorm) I made a strong start not wanting Stuart to settle and with 3-4 nics (sorry) in the first set the tone for the match, Stuart did'nt settle but made a good effort in the fifth with a nice cross court nic.John 3-0. A good evening ended with good food and a few beers. Well done Biggin. |
