Report

Report:A good trip to Sundridge Park after a 2 week break, first on was Steve and Rich, I did not see much of this one as I was on court myself, but it looks like a return to form for Steve, conceeding 3 points and no heart attacks to mention, he will be looking to carry this form forward until his operation, I bet your sweating now Steve........On the other court I played Garth who warmed up with more lobs that I have ever seen, strange, he never played one in the match! After the first 2 games Garth came to life with some good effort and tight shots, I then came back to win the last 9-0. Mark Gates and Simon Lewis then went on court, After some casual relaxed missed shots from Mark, Simon started to play some nice shots of his own, then Mark decided to make an effort winning in 3, some good volleys and winners from Mark. Ian Simmons and Peter Ng went on court 1, this looked like an even balanced match until Simo decided to batter the living day lights out of the ball, Peter recoverd well and had good shots of his own when in front of Simo, but after a quick chat from John and then Steve, Simo went on to try and pop the ball, to much pace for Peter but a good match. Jim Barry and Streett had a good match, the first thing we all noticed was the trick shots from Jim, lots of deception, but, most of them were played straight to Streett, with the experience Streett has it was no surpise he won this match 3-1, when i spoke to Jim he told me he was knackered, which is why he played them, Jim can clearly hit the ball well and will pick up good results if basic squash becomes standard, one more thing when facing match ball, 8-8, then to call one seemed brave of Jim......Doh. Well done Streett.
Apparentley according to Ian Simmons, Viagra takes 20 mins to work........
