Report: | Tunbridge Wells went to Blackheath with a strong squad, Blackheath were stronger, Steve Johnson played very good squash as always to beat Andy Porter in 3, I (John) went on court at the same time and had a good start against Roald, But, with good effort from Roald, the match was all level at 2-2, I ran out of steam and Roald did'nt, 3-2 to Roald. Simo and Rich had a close and hard hitting game which Simo sneaked in the fifth, both players attacking each others backhands, good to watch and a good win for Simo. Chris and Panji then went on and Chris never looked confident after winning the first, Panji grew in confadence and played some fantistic winners, well played Panji, Streett and Phil on last, in truth, Streett was out played, he could not adjust to the local court conditions with Phil playing good hard hitting winners, 3-0 to Phil, Blackheath do look strong with Phil at 3, cant see him losing, from Tunbridge Wells point of view, 3-2 loss is not a bad result, Good evenig all round. look forward to the return. Simo only drank 3 pints, well done. |
