| Report: | A match that was not quite as close as the overall 3/2 scoreline suggests as Biggin Hill comfortably and rapidly won the first 3 games on court to win the match, and the games after that were a little bit of an anti-climax.
I had high hopes though of Ross getting a result against Dean especially after he won the second game. Dean will not mind me saying that he is not particularly well known for his stamina and durability, but on this occasion was able to step up a gear and take the next 2 games convincingly. On the other court Alastair was getting little joy out of the younger of the Garrett brothers. 3-0 to Nick. I will spare Dan's blushes in commenting too much on his game, but as the score suggests Stu was in great form and played a faultless game.
Graham then went on with Russ and restored some honour in defeat for Bromley by winning 3-0. It remained for the No.1s to play out the remaining dead rubber game, although to Tony there is no such thing, and I am sure he was pretty keen to maintain his unbeaten record this season. Antony started in good form and took the 1st game well enough. Thereafter he got a bit distracted and was bothered by the cold ball amongst other things and really lost his way. Tony simply got on with his game and ran out a comfortable winner in the end.
Finally thanks to all the supporters on the night for turning up and especially to Biggin Hill's other Stu for helping out with the marking.
