| Report: | Tunbridge Wells returned to winning ways with a very good home win, Gary and Alan first on, Gary took the first which was a tight game with plenty of chat from Alan and Gary finallynot letting Alan in his head, Second game went to Tony with some good winners, Third was again Gary trying to block out some banter from Alan, Gary won this one and then Alan's calf stopped the match, 3-1. Chris and Graham on court B, Chris had to much deception to offer and won in fine form, 3-0. Streett and Ali followed and Streett had plenty of fitness and a good fast start put Streett on to a good win, 3-0. John and Dan played a better game than knock-up, John won in 3 but not after watching Dan hit several cross court nik's, but plenty of strength this week thanks to some antibiotics from the GP. Steve and Tony on last, Tony had plenty of running and worked hard for a 0-3 defeat, Steve played some fantastic shots which found Tony asking for some distant let's, as he said, you have to ask! Good effort from Tony but Steve again to strong. 3-0. Good banter as always, good food and Merry Christmas. |
