Report: | The match after the Friday night before ...
Having been suitably punished for an administrative error by the team administering several shots of black sambucca last Friday, it was back to business at the Dulwich Bowl.
T. Rex Wells headed north with high hopes of nicking a few points and even brought some (yup more than 1) travelling support, albeit one the attractive daughter of Tony the man!
Dulwich, however, meant business. None more so than Jason who had arrived an hour early to prepare the starter and put the cauldron of water on boil ready for his 4000g of pasta (yup enough to feed 8 teams). He recovered from an early rib tickler from Jolyon to edge back from down in each game and get home in 3.
Will proved that a couple of pints with clients at lunchtime really does improve his game, despatching Herman in straight games. Paul proved that he should be above Will by continuing his no nonsense, no rallies, approach to help Paul hit the M1 in double quick time.
Tim beat Colin in 3, so it was left to Clive to wrap up the whitewash, but being here for just a week he was in holiday mode and dropped the first.
A good win & some excellent food ala J B Meticulous Cuisine Inc. [NB:only 1500gs of pasta hit the boiling water, but Will still has lunch ready for a week from leftovers].
The only concern now is that last Friday was a warm up for this Saturday ... and half the team don't know how they got home then! |
