| Report: | A Fitness First team short of number 1 Ben Coleman battled hard for a point at the Giant Arches Arena on a blustery Tuesday in November.
Brendan was moving like one of the cheetah’s from the BBC’s ‘Life’ programme, very fast but occasionally over running things. He gave his look-a-like opponent short shrift speeding from corner to corner picking up anything and everything much to George & his team-mates' dismay. Meanwhile, Jason waslooking equally gazelle-like and had just too much speed for Mo. Clearly keen to get stuck in to the Olley’s fish & chips feast he kept the pace fast and furious to get home in 3.
Obviously inspired by the opposition's hunter instincts Jonny came out firing like a bull that’s seen an Arsenal shirt. Displaying no little skill in firing the ball in short at pace, Jonny nicked the first. However, the next three games were more akin to the wilder-beast tracked by the Kimono dragon, as Jonnny got pulled from corner to corner ever nearer the final point & expiration.
Will was more Andy Murray than Tiger Tim, using his speed and agility to keep the pressure on John from start to finish. Rounding things off in style, was the ever graceful Paul who had to bare his fangs when down in the first to Pete, but once he had drawn first blood the result was never in doubt.
For a FF team that had had the courtesy to call in advance to say no one was eating so save on the cooking, there was an impressive turn out a the dinner table. 10 cod and chips, if you please!
The Killer Whales would have enjoyed it as much as the players.
