Report

Report:Having been taken down by Bexley’s alleged 2nd team before Christmas Olley’s Dulwich boys were keen to avoid the proverbial banana skin this time round!

Things did not start brightly though with Steph seemingly unperturbed by Ben’s figure hugging outfit. Even the now famous Grinnell splits could put PC Brind off her beat, striding to victory in straight games.

Jason looked to return the tie to parity, but discovered Tom had other ideas. A high calibre encounter saw Jason edge the first two games before finally gaining the ascendancy to win in three.

Tim edged the hosts ahead with a display that was good enough, but far from spectacular. Duane as always asked questions, and the Dulwich captain was pleased to have the answers.

The much anticipated (by everyone except Will) meeting between Will & Scott was pushed back in to the evenings entertainment, not due to tv demands but because Will’s employers unreasonably made him do a full days work. Having seen off two of his nemesis’s this season in the form of London Snr & Badger, could Will make it a hat-trick? Sadly the writing was scrawled loudly on the wall when he was heard to cry out ‘It’s happening again’ followed by ‘Its not real squash’. The third was crucial and once Scott had sneaked it 10/8 these was only one ending, and it wasn’t to be a happy one for Will. Looking exhausted after a flurry of 3 shot rallies, Scott tied up the match for the visitors.

Fortunately for Dulwich Woody wasn’t in the mood to mess about, and gave Andy few opportunities on the way to a straight games win, as well as finding time to practice a Power trick shot.

As always the Fish & Chips from Olley’s was top nosh, the chat was good (particularly Scott highlighting that he hasn’t played in weeks or maybe it was years) and still not sure which is the best team in Bexley ;-)
