Report: | Bexley vs The fantastic 4
A slightly weaker Bexley side took on TW without Jolyon (on baby duty).
First up Danny vs Paul.
Danny has just returned from studying and Paul has just returned from holiday so this was going to be a fun match, didn't see much of it but Paul certainly had a better tan! 3-1 to Danny
Mark vs Andy.
In honour of the hard hitting Jolyon we managed to break a ball in the first. The squash was a bit loose but as the match progressed Mark tightened up and ran out a 3-1 winner (that's two weeks without going to 5!)
Chris vs Ian
Chris was looking for his first win and started very well with Ian moving around the court well also. Ian took the 3rd with Chris looking a little tired but in the 4th normal service was resumed. 3-1 to Chris
Ben vs Colin
Colin looked a little rusty and Ben has been lacking court time but this was a very entertaining match with both going for nicks and anticipating each others shots. In the end Ben took it 3-2
Christian vs Paul
Excellent match with both players giving 100% and in Paul's case sometimes more. Up to the end of the 2nd game it looked very even until one long rally in the 3rd where Paul was up and down the court like a yoyo, after that Paul was visibly struggling with the pace and Christian took advantage taking the next two games to win 3-1
So a big win for Bexley which moves them up above the Bexley 2nd team where they belong
Food was great although only 6 of us stayed.
Good luck Jolyon with baby number 3!
Special mention to Steve London who moved up 76 places in the world rankings this month to 319, good times.
