Report: | With Dulwich keen to make amends after their shock loss against Park Langley the previous week, Will stepped on court against Steve to try and get the team off to a good start. Steve played a very fast opening game and with Will unable to read his game, ended up 1-0 down in a matter of minutes. However, Steve's energy slowly dropped and Will hacked his way to the finishing line to win 3-1.
Dulwich new recruit Humberto was up next. His swarthy looks and slick back hair seemed to cause a disraction to Tom who lost the first quickly. Tom eventaully snapped out of spell and managed to regain his form to take game 3. Tom had his chances in the 4th but Humberto managed to close out the match 3-1.
Match of the day next. Josh and Steve was a battle of youth against experience. Steve looked a little rusty after his time in SA as the balls flied all over the court but continued to fight(get in the way) to bring it to 2-2. At 10-10 in the 5th, both had chances to win but Steve gave away his final stroke of the night for Josh to seal the victory.
Brendan and Matt were up next. Matt played well despite being at a festival the past week and having not played for a while, but Brendan closed out the match to win 3-1.
Lastly, Andy returned to competitve squash with a good win against Matt. The time off seemed to have done him some good and was striking the ball well and moving Matt around, closing the match out 3-0. Matt took the loss well and remained composed throughout as usual!
