Report: | Evening Sports-fans, tonight’s report will be short & sweet as I am officially bushed!
Dulwich having got back on track last week after the Park Langley derailment a couple of weeks ago entertained the Bromley Boys from the Cricket Club.
Lewys the Lion took advantage of Tim being more Tired than Tiger off the plane from South Africa by opening up a two game lead. A tough third saw Tim scramble around just enough to nick it and go on and win in 5 far from picturesque games.
Brendan charged around the court like a Buffalo giving Matt little time to settle on the ball. However, a lame hoof in the shape of a shoe that had seen better days slowed Brendan down enough for Matt to take a game until the Brendan charge was back up to speed in the fourth.
Paul & Sam moved more like Giraffes than Gazelles around the court, but the quality of shots was at times breathtaking and at others less impressive. Paul eventually edged the third to take it in straight games.
Both Andy & Jamie worked the ball around the court and moved with the grace of Panthers but towards the end Andy’s lack of time in the field in recent weeks caught up and Jamie eased home.
The Dulwich Safari Club was almost closed by the time Nick arrived at 10pm, and with Spartacus on the tv at 11pm Will wasn’t about to beat about the bush as he rampaged Bull-like home in straight games.
The Olley’s Fish n Chips were great, and the rogue Chicken nuggets for Sam went down well. Nick explained why he was so late having travelled to the club from Derby via East Morley, which would have won longest journey if Tim hadn’t come from Durban via Johannesburg and West Hampstead!
