Report: | I am able to report that the following are real places: Waa Waa, Poowong, Burrumbuttock, Suggan Buggan, Boomahnoomoonah, Waaia, Mullumbimby, Ewylamartup, Jiggalong and the supremely satisfying Tittybong. If you are still bewildered, they all hail from Australia.
Whether Jamie Wilde, Staurt Parrish and Andy Wilde are part of the real David Lloyd team in the Kent Priory Summer League, Division 2, only their manager or captain knows. But a brief forensic analysis of the summer season casts a more than reasonable doubt over their Division 2 credentials.
At Dulwich we like to welcome all our guests and make them feel at home. So had we had a courtesy call from David Lloyd to warn us that they were fielding the likes of Wilde and Parrish we would have obliged by putting out players of a similar standard.
The squash was a little pointless. D.L won 5-0, though I see that J Wilde failed to win 27-0 (maybe he needs to train harder). But is this really the point of summer squash in Division 2?
I trust that our guests enjoyed their beer and supper.
