Report: | Whilst Bromley won the result was a little less euphoric than if all David Lloyds players turned up and when its your no. 2 the game is over so to speak. I as captain have been in the 'I've got no players situation' so I can empathize.
Tom v Martin
In the first half encounter Tom had other things on his mind and lost 3-0, it was amazing he was there at all, great team player! This time around things were different and Tom was in superb form taking the first two 9-5 & 9-0. Tom had a little waiver in the third and let that slip but soon sorted things out and took the third 9-5 and the match 3-1.
Nick v Simon
Simon should have been playing 3 but Nathan's no show meant he had to step up to the plate and play 2. This he did admirably well and showed why he has such a good sheet this season. As you can tell by the scores this was an incredibly tight match, Nick was looking a bit slow but maybe that was because Simon was getting around the court so well and took Nick by surprise, Nicks lobbing and floating game suited Simon's long reach. 3-2 to Simon, well played.
Keeley v Peter
Although Peter did win over an unfit Keeley just back from holiday, too many vodka's or was it the champagne every morning, both I suspect. This game went to Keeley by default.
A good evening considering. |
