Report: | Dulwich started off with a solid 3-1 win by Armstrong. Noades then confirmed that Palmer is a definite boagy man for him by losing in straight sets again. Ted introduced a new shot (The Disemboweling Pirouette Reverse Flick or the Jeally for short) and looked like winning 3-0 but slipped up in the 3rd game and nearly lost the 4th too. The final 2 matches were heading towards straight sets wins for Bromley LTC but then the tide turned and both matches ended up as 5 setters. As IRG took the lead at 5-4 and Page was running Ron ragged it looked like a Dulwich victory was on the cards but that was unfortunately the last point IRG chalked up and Mark took the 5th set of the 5th string tie and the match for Bromley LTC just ahead of Page finishing off his match with a 3-2 win.
The chef was last on court but the food was served in good time and was enjoyed by all.
Good luck to Bromley LTC in Div 1 next summer. |
