| Report: | A rare luxury for Beckenham to be able to have 5 players, but we were outclassed by a very good T Wells side. Alison managed to take the first game from Emma but was unable to keep up the momentum. Jenny, Maggie and Mira played well but Alison, Lynn and Brenda played better. The final match of Cathy against Jo was a real cracker. The packed gallery was treated to an excellent, breathtaking game of squash from two very talented players. Cathy made the first break-through, then Jo came back strongly in the 2nd and 3rd games. Then it was Cathy's turn to dig deep to level the match by taking the 4th game. All depended on the 5th, and the advantage swung this way and that, with both players retrieving seemingly impossible shots, until Cathy took the last couple of points to clinch the match.
