Report: | Rachel was first on and seems to get ever increasingly difficult matches. The good news is that she'll find few tougher at 2 than Mr Robbins. Surely next weeks match will provide some openings.
Martin vs Mark followed and PL1 were looking really good. Martin played some awesome shots, unfortunately he needed a few more as Mark efficiently dispatched the loose ones.
Meanwhile the first string started their match. This was played at a high tempo with some superb agility and shots on show. Steve hung in but Neil always seemed to have a little extra.
Stuart started well against Steve but was it Steve or just a hologram? Turns out he was carrying some kind of an injury. Stu didn't mind and neither did I as the match went to a decider.
My record against martin isn't great and he knows it coming quickly out of the blocks to win the first. I warmed up/settled down to some more solid squash to take the next two. I was hoping at this point that Martin was tired but he seemed alright as he fired home the 4th. 5th game decider. I won it, but it certainly wasn't clear cut. Tense right to the end.
A real boost for Dulwich as I had PL1 down as favourites for this match. Am sure PL1 will soon be climbing the table.
Stuart is on the way to becoming a Kent squash chef legend by producing from scratch a hugely appreciated red thai curry. Nice.
very nice.
