Report

Report:Looking more Harry Redknap than Prince Harry, Ken brought his PL 2 troops to face a Dulwich side looking to bounce back after last week’s Bromley banana skin.

Prince William of Brownsdon got the train back on the tracks with a straight games win over Lee. The first was evenly contested but Lee might be kept behind at training for shuttles by the guv’nor as he started to fade from there on in.

Prince Michael of Queenstown (SA) showed his usual nimble footwork to see off PL’s own Michael also in straight games. Ever dangerous the visitor fired in some trademark winners but was unable to sustain the quality in the face of the South African offensive.

Timothy of Ghana sported his new Movember Mo with as much style as it allows (which is not much) and faced England U19 no.1 Charles, who was just back from a successful trip to Russia where he nearly stole the crown at the St. Petersburg Open. A high quality encounter saw Tim nick the first & Charles get on top in the second. Charles was using his youth and accuracy to get on to the ball early and chop it short, while Tim tried to counter it with width & height. The latter eventually won the day in four, but not before Charles had saved 4 match balls and then Tim framed one to edge home!!

Filling in at 5, Ben put more points on the board with a five-set win over Andy that had every point of every game look like it could go either way. Sporting his usual figure hugging outfit Ben powered through the fifth to take the spoils.

Last on Andy played like someone who could smell the Olleys Fish & Chips, even though it was still at the restaurant. Playing his usual brand of classic squash he moved Simon around the court before finding the Windsor in the nick.

So perhaps a public holiday is in order to celebrate! Poor King Ken left with nothing more than the taste of a Bacardi & coke and a belly full of fish & chips! A fun evening with the PL crew.
