| Report: | Excellent match, good to see some old friends again. Start with the easy matches, and coming back from a months illness struggled with his breathing and lost quite quickly. Josh reversed the result with Andy, he has improved considerably over the last year and he played quite well but not quite good enough. Simon started very well, kept his focus for the 1st half of the match and then lost his way, we feel he is on the right road. Michael as usual for his opponents find his difficult to play, started off very well winning the first 2 games, the match rested on the 4th game whre as everyone knows you need a bit of luck but Michael did not get it. Saving the best till last. Best match I have seen for a long time, Ben lost to Charles in the last tournament so I assume he was trying to reverse the result and he nearly dit it. The match was full of great rallies, great retrieving in front of court in all 5 games the match ended suitably on the back hand volley drop rolling out of the nick at Ben's feet. Great game. ParkLangley 2nd, I think taking most points off this team which shows improvement in the squad of players and how important it is to have a good No. 1 |
