| Report: | It was the battle to be the better of the 2nd teams in Division 1.
Bexley 2 is currently down to a squad of three players (Jack injured, Elliot studying, Danny studying) so frantic calls to the lower teams for reserves have been taking place over the last week.
First up James vs Lee
The difference in this match was consistency, Lee was the steadier player making less mistakes and James was loose at crucial times, it was a good match played at a fast pace with Lee running out a 3-1 winner.
Steve vs Zeb
Didn’t see much of this but at the end of the 3rd Zeb didn’t look to great as he was suffering in the corridor, he battled in the 4th though and nearly took it to a 5th narrowly losing 11-9.
Matt vs Michael
Both players have been lacking court time and after taking the 4th it looked like Matt was the stronger player going into the 5th. Michael had other ideas and took an early 5 point lead which he held until the end for a deserved victory.
Ron vs Simon
Ron took the 1st easily but after that it was a tight affair
Mark vs Charles
To decide the match Mark took on the new BSPA London open under 23 champion, after about 15 mins of court sprints and 3 games later, Charles looked fresh and Mark was spent. Comment from Steve after the match to Mark “you was demolished”, “thanks Steve, I enjoyed it” came the reply.
Well played PL2, only 4 points behind PL1 now.
The usual good food and banter after the match, Charles was happy as Spurs won and it was encouraging to hear the PL 2 regulars positively enjoying PAR, just don’t tell Ken!
