| Report: | Ket and Stuart: didn't see any of it so no comment - except our home rule is that a player who loses washes up the supper plates, Ket should buy some marigolds :-)
Keith and Ben: Ben's first competative match in donkeys years. Won't be long before he gets into it, just not yet despite captain Neville's advice about "don't be fooled by the old bloke, he runs a lot"
Shaun and Martin: Martin hasn't played much lately, but Shaun chose this night to mishit a season's worth of bad shots and then got injured in the 2nd and couldn't move in the 3rd. But Martin made him work so can take pride in damaging him.
Rob and Nathan: Nathan definitely set out the quickest, Rob also coming back, from illness this time. But once he got into his own game he had a bit more than Nathan.
So 2-2 match score:
Ted and Adam: for the first 8 points ( to 4-4 ) both players played brilliantly, tight wall hugging ( returned ), thousand miles an hour smashes ( returned ), drops barely breathing onto the front wall ( picked up ). But then Adam lost heart ( or was it his lungs and legs ? ) and in the end another straightforward win for Ted. 3-2 to Bromley but only just |
