| Report: | First off Me V Kevin and Mehmet V Paul. Having watched Kevin play before I went in with a game plan and lost the first game 9-0, so to plan B which seemed to be working untill Keivn decided he'd given me enough points and being 2-6 down in the fourth won the next 7 points straight off to take the match to 3-1. Mehmet on the other court just couldn't get going against Paul and lost 3-0. Things were looking bad for Old Elts and it only got worse. Both Justyn V Brian and Bob V Ron were outclassed on the night and both lost 3-0. Last game of the night and the best game to watch was a cracker, Steve V Mark. Steve nursing a badly bruised knee seemed intent on running around as much as possible, playing drives when drops would do and boasting at exactly the wrong moment. But what a game it made, Mark eventually running out the deserved winner in 5 with both players absolutly shattered. Hopefully in the return leg we can do a bit better but at the moment Bromley are a cut above and will be one of the teams pushing for promotion. |
