Report: | Excellent night for team Bexley with some tough matches, it was a night for fitness at BCC, Duane ran out of legs in the 5th against a very strong looking Lewis, Sam ran out of legs in the 4th as Mark finally found his length, James ran out of legs in the 2nd after a tough rally, Matt fresh from his Island games experience kept up a very fast pace to take it 3-0 and remain unbeaten, Tom was back after injury and looked out of it at 2-0 down but dug in and pressured Neil into mistakes to take the next 2, in a tough 5th it was Neil who took the match but neither looked to be tiring! finally the match of the night, with the match at 2-2, Ron and Matt had a fantastic scrap with Matt so focused he actually thought he had lost the match in the 4th, Ron stuck to his guns after some mid game advice from Duane (Hit it harder) Harrison and ground out the win in 5 much to the delight of the Bexley team and the barman who wanted to get home.
Excellent night, great food and much discussion about celeb lookalikes, apparently tonight we had Karl Pilkington (An idiot abroad), Louis Theroux, Jasper Carrot, Anton Du Bekec and Clive London playing!?!?
And just for DC as I know he loves a match report, Quote from Marine Ron our third team reserve and saviour, when he was watching Duane play, "are we playing hand in, hand out?" "why would we be doing that in the summer!"
MS
Yeah, well played Bexley. And I'm with you Marine Ron, 'Why on earth are we playing old squash rules, doesn't exactly help the juniors of Kent does it?'
Mark, your in trouble for the return, I'm still sulking...
