Report: | Bexley welcomed Parklangley in a battle of the 2nd team’s. Always going to be hard for PL but without Michael at 1 (lost with no trace) it was going to be a tough night.
Very workman like performances from the Bexley top 3 (Tom finally recovered from holiday, Mark after a weekend’s Racketlon and Duane after a weekend of alcohol and curry), although the scores suggest otherwise each match was very competitive with Bexley superior in the fitness department, good performance from Zeb who, in a couple of months’ time (if training continues) could well be putting the likes of Tom under more pressure.
At 4, Matt was welcomed back after many weeks off and continued his 100% record winning 3-1
At 5, it’s nice to see the Bexley youngsters moving up through the ranks and Scott is no exception, maybe a little out of his depth in Div 1, he performed exceptionally well and I’m sure in the next couple of years he will go flying up the Bexley teams.
Lovely curry and good banter as usual and it was nice to see 3 generations of Young’s supporting, much discussion on PL player poaching, Tom’s girlie socks and who’s playing for who in the outer kent league in the winter.
Oh, and Tom won his first game of the season.
