Report

Report:Compared to last weeks battles late into the night, this one was a cake walk mainly down to the home sides rusty looking performance which you would have expected to see on the first match.
In comparison the Sundridge lads had applied the WD40 and came out fighting.
First up:

Captain Carrot Top v Pete the Ninja.
Bit of a strange one this, Pete came out with his usual solid performance but CCT just was not at the races which was a shame as he's been playing great for some while now. Nothing in the Tanks and Ninja ran out a comfertable 3-0 winner.

Lock,Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels v Andy.
Not to much to say on this one either. Andy played some good solid squash hitting good length, width and moving as well as I have seen him. LS2SB just wasn't on it. Needs to either forget about his underworld contracts when he gets on court or do the dead opposite, get in the opponents face and use his racket like his other working tool the sawn off shot gun. 3-0 to Andy.

Grim Reaper v Justin
A rare appearence from the Reaper before he trotts of to ply his deathly trade in Asia for a month.
Didn't see any of this until the last game but LS2SB confirmed what I saw in the 5th reflected the rest of the match. Justin playing a solid, measured game and The Reaper running around like a blue *rsed fly picking up a ridiculous amount of likely winners. The 5th always had a 10/9 look about it and so it turned out. Both players had several match points but eventually the Reaper worked a rally which Justin finally waved the white flag. Game of the night with both players fully deserving the applause they received at the end.

Debt Collecter v Ollie
Always a good game when we play as both not shy of putting in a full shift if needed. No different this time but DC on his new health plan from the Doctor kept control of proceedings and wrapped up things in 3.

Sweaty Sock v 'Napoleon' Bonabesse
I seem to recall in the military archives the Highland Division making a significant contrabution to the defeat of the Frogs at Waterloo.
Well, if the ugly bunch were going to get out of jail, another Waterloo would be required.
In this case Sweaty got about as far as Clapham Junction by nicking the first before Napoleon diverted the spoils to 'Le Sundridge'

A good night as always with the Sundridge lads and look forward to the return.
The ugly bunch will need to have a little think about this one and come out fighting next week.

P.S. Just seen the fixture date is next Thursday at Dulwich and having just read Hand Jives report about the woes of his team selection next Tuesday against guess who, Dulwich. I,m turning my phone off !!!
[edit] No good turning the phone off when you're on court while I'm at PL ;o) See you at Dulwich!! - CL [/edit]
