Report

Report:With Sundridge Parks French assasin now back home Dulwich 3 had an opportunity to chalk up their 2nd win of the summer season.

1st up were Alex and Peter with Alex looking for his first win of the summer. Alex was looking in good form and should have taken the 1st game but failed to finish things off. The 2nd was again looking like anyones but Peter was able to see it out and got stronger in the 3rd to win it 3-0.
Sundridge Park 1 UP

One the other court we had Alex B against Richard who was having to work hard to get points early on as Alex took the 1st 9-0. The second game went Alex's way too but it was getting harder and in game 3 the tide almost turned but Alex was able to see off the challenge to take it 3-0.
Match all square at 1-1

The number 1's Dave and Justin were up next and this one was ping ponging one way then the other in the 1st two games. The 3rd game was the crucial one as they were level all the way and both had game points but Dave won it in the end and that was it as Justin did not put up much of a fight in the 4th set.
Dulwich take a 2-1 lead

Next up was chef Matt and Ollie and these two seemed quite well matched with Ollie sneaking the 1st then Matt firing back to take the 2nd. Matt then continued to keep Ollie at bay down the backhand side and the next two games went Matt's way.
Dulwich win the match and go 3-1 UP

Finally came Ian and Andy and this was looking like one way traffic early on with Ian taking a 2-0 lead in double quick time. Andy came back into it in the 3rd whilst Ian seemed to have forgotten what he did in the previous two. Andy looked to be on course to make it a 5 set match when he went 6-0 in the 4th but Ian then woke up and took then next 8 points only for Andy to get it back to 8-8 but then Ian finished it off.
Dulwich win 4-1

Food was served by Matt who experimented this week with beef casserole which was appreciated by all.
