Report

Report:Strange sort of match this one. No close scraps to talk about which is suprising as I recall the first half match being a tight affair.
Tried finding the names of the top 2 in the Dulwich order from previous matches but it would seem they have not played before. I don't know, what are you Dulwich boys like. You go through players like Henry VIII went through wives !!

Zimbabwean Worthog V Nick
The only match which stayed on court any length of time and I missed most of it due to playing the 'Ravmiester' on the other court.
From what I saw Worthog was looking pretty tired but kept things going while Nick kept checking the tin worked far too often. That said, Worthog must have got it together in the 4th as he ran out a comfortable winner.

Grim Reaper v Stu
Both players seemed quite content to play at a reasonably sedate pace which suited the Reaper well and he never really moved into top gear. Always doing enough with the 3rd ending very quickly.

Lock,Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels v Ollie
Smoking Barrells seemed to get straight into the grove going into a 5 zip lead but as is often the case, slow starting Ollie gradually ramped thing up eventually sneaking a tight first. That really was the long and short of it. The next 2 were comfortable for Ollie as the Smoking Barrells ramped up the verbal self lambasting point by point until the final crescendo at match point. No half measures for Smoking Barrells. Currently playing once a week if lucky but next week playing 5 out of 6 days. Bet he loses next week from exhaustion.

Debt Collector v Ravi
Been a while since us two old farts have played. DC kept focused as I've seen the wiley master conjure up some unexpected wins over plenty of unsuspecting opponents over the years.
To be honest, Rav didn't seem to be on it for which DC was eternally grateful. A comfortable win for DC but I'm sure Rav will be back once as he said himself 'I've worked you out'

Sweaty Sock v Sam
Not to much to say on this one other than I felt Sweaty made a pretty good fist of it although the scoreline may say not. Sam was in another league and probably ought to be. Can't think of more than a handful of players in div 1 who would get a result over him. Very similar style and ability to Simon Culver in the P/L 1sts.

So another low scoring win for the ugly bunch and another enjoyable evening with the Dulwich lads.
Rav: try and keep hold of your superstar for the team that must not be named, you'll need him !
