| Report: | Gary D who was due to play our Tim in a friendly came out like a rocket chasing everything down it didn't help that Pat hurt himself at some stage and was limping slightly but I'm sure Tim was glad he didn't play Gary in this form. Tim took on Gary B and managed to out fox Gary in the first this was even up after the 2nd and the third was the best game Gary eventually winning that 10-9 and finishing off strongly in the 4th. Ron took on Justyn again with Justyn playing well and hitting some good winners however Ron was on song, kept his cool and hit his own winners, good contest with Ron the winner. Keith and Bob renewed their battles of old but this time Keith showed probably his best form this year giving Bob a run around and hitting some good winners. Last off but not last on was Mark and Steve this took longer than the previous two matches combined. How often do you get 4 10-8's in one string. Mark was playing really well taking the honours in the first 2 games but Steve just wouldn't give up but neitherr would Mark, Steve winning the last 3 10-8's Great Match especially for effort and commitment. |
