Report: | Fortunately for bexley. It was steve not clive playing PSL so this evened the teams up nicely. First up. Team masters vs kevin and steve. At 7 2 down in the first brad looked to be struggling but he steadied the ship and proceeded to win 25 points to kevin's 4 to get a fantastic 3 0 win. On the other court josh was having a tougher time with steve moving and playing well. Lots of contact between the two of them (clash of styles) but they both got on with the game and it was only towards the end of the 3rd that steve seemed to tire (to much firefighting has worn him out). If steve had nicked either the 1st or 3rd it may have been a different outcome but josh took the 4th comfortably to win 3 1. Next up. Richie and james. Didn't see this but richie took it 3 0 obviously riding high after the british juniors. Mark and clive haven't played for a couple of years and they got right back into the old routine with lots of long rallies. Clive dominated the front of the court so mark tried to extend the rallies. After 4 tought games clive's legs gave up and even though he won more points he lost the match 3 1. Last up christian ans simon. After hanging around for ages simon was in no mood to stay on court longer than needed. A quick 3 0 with fast acurate squash from the toughest number 3 in the league.
Great curry after and an excellent win for bexley in a very competitive match.
And just for DC. Here is the PAR quote of the night “I would have had a better chance if we was playing PAR“ - clive.
(edit) I'll let the sloppy English go, but you might have pointed out that this was firmly tongue in cheek and specifically for DC's benefit to brighten his day up!! Good game though. CL (/edit) - after checking, Clive did actually win 3-1 on PAR scoring. I've always liked HiHo! ha ha ha |
