Report

Report:The only two undefeated teams in div 1 meet at Bexley
First up Mark vs Antonio
A workman like performance from Mark, apart from a small lapse of concentration in the 3rd it was a comfortable victory with Antonio running well to the end.
Richie vs Tim
A cracking game with Richie pushing Tim hard but ultimately Tim had too much experience and “broke” Richie in the 4th (I hope he’s better for next week!)
Christian vs Jason (I only play at Bexley) Barry
Unfortunately for Christian, Dulwich supersub Jason came in at two. After a competitive first which saw both players moving well, Jason eased away to take the match 3-0.
Josh vs Paul
With a flier of a ball (how Dunlop can produce balls that react so different is beyond me), Josh didn’t start to see it until half way through the first, once the initial storm had been weathered he competed well but a slimmed down Paul is a very dangerous player and he took the match 3-0 at a canter. So much so that Paul thought he’d take on the rest of the Master’s family in Brad (rested for this week but along for team support), bad move as Brad won.
Last up Rob vs Ian
Last season these two played and Ian battled to a 3-2 win (I believe), but, that was ten months and two stone ago. The new slim Rob won 3-0 but it was a battle to the end with all points being hotly contested.

A 3-2 win (technically 3-3 draw after Brad beat Paul) for Dulwich but Bexley minimizing losses by winning 3-0 at 4 and 5.
Nice pasta, garlic bread and salad (for the slim ones)
Much discussion on why Jason should play for his home club (I try to poach him every time to no avail!), the up and coming tournaments (Canterbury and Bury St Edmunds) and the fact that tennis players seem to suffer muscular/joint problems earlier than squash players. Oh, and Richie seems to be allergic to the kitchen!.
We stay in the top 3 but Park Langley are closing in fast on all of us, Dulwich vs Park Langley next week should be a good match although probably a bit far for Jason to travel ;-)
