Report: | A late night finish at Dulwich saw JEJ do just enough, but equally all he had, to see off the Jim on his debut and seal the away win. Earlier Steve had found the female form a distraction, and after a fast start allowed Lauren to dominate. Will played well but in Simon came up a man playing below his station. Neil and Steve battled hard and fast for four games, before Neil eased home. Tom started brightly but then got caught up in Clive’s web getting edged out in the first two. He broke free in the third but got reeled in once more in the fourth to set the match nicely. Jim jumped ahead as JEJ struggled to erase the memory of the two hours he had spent earlier changing a tyre in Brixton (it was suggested he should have left it for 5 minutes, but then you can’t go far on bricks either). At two down James started to control the match, the fourth was tight but the fifth wasn’t and it was a well deserved win for a solid team.
Olley’s once more served up London’s finest fish and chips, and 50% of the players went home happy.
Just a normal Tues.
Night.
